Le Prix De Rome & the Art of Winning was developed over time by the French government to aid and encourage the arts and the artists to ultimately be the pride of France. The world thronged to see the artworks in Paris at the yearly Salons and with many trials and tribulations it was a success, though for some it was not an easy task. This is a look at the process and what great works came of it.
